Summer Sandlot League

Sandlot has become a Hingham tradition. Players LL age 7-11 play in a recreational in-town summer league with games on Monday - Thursday nights.

Ages: Registration is OPEN for players Little League Age 7-11 years old (birth dates between 9/1/13 – 8/31/18). Your Little League age is your age on 8/31/2025.

Sandlot is not open to players on summer travel teams.

Sandlot is not open to Little League Age 12 year olds (9/1/12 – 8/31/13). 

Divisions: Registration numbers and ages determine how many divisions we set. Last year, we had 3 divisions:

7s (7 years old, games every Tues & Thurs at 5-630p) – Sr Farm rules

Junior (8-9 years old, games every Mon & Wed at 630p) – modified A/AA rules

Senior (10-11 years old, games every Tues & Thurs at 7p) – AAA rules

Last year, we filled registrations and had 4 teams in each division. The league strives to create competitive parity within the divisions while maintaining a focus on fun. We also continually seek to enhance the program and will offer skills nights to provide additional player development.

Season: June 30th to July 31st, 2025

Skills nights/practice 6/30 – 7/2 (8-9s M & W, 10-11s Tu & Th)

Games 7/7 – 7/31

Location: All games are played at Lynch 1 and Lynch 2

There are no make-up games for weather cancellations

Fee: Sandlot fees are $175 per player and space is limited. Registration will include a jersey and hat and full slate of summer games. 

Capacity: We will close registration when we reach capacity and late registrants will not be accepted. Sandlot has sold out each of the last three years, so sign up today!

Volunteers: We anticipate a great turnout for Summer Sandlot, but we can’t run the program without fantastic parent volunteers and coaches – remember to sign up to coach when you’re registering your child! Teams must have multiple coaches to have a successful season.
